Chargers Wrap Up Regular Season at Parkland Tournament

The Carl Sandburg College volleyball team wrapped up its regular season at the Parkland Tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Chargers, who are among others receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division II rankings, went winless in four matches, with three of those coming against ranked opponents.

The Chargers, who end the regular season with a 23-17 record, will defend their Region IV Division II tournament championship this weekend. Sandburg went 16-0 against region opponents to earn the top seed in District A and will face Triton, the No. 8 seed from District B, in the quarterfinals at 4 p.m. Saturday. The semifinals are scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday and the championship at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. All matches will be played at the College of Lake County in Grayslake.
